AME 47560 - Independent UG Design Project - Centerpin Fishing Reel

Students will design and machine a centerpin fishing reel. This type of fishing reel has become a popular way of catching trout and salmon in the various Lake Michigan tributary streams. Examples of various high-end centerpin reels can be found in the link below:

This project will be offered under AME47560 - Independent UG Design Projects for 3 credit hours. To successfully complete this projects students will need to meet with Prof. Rumbach for one hour each week and spend an additional 8 hours doing design and fabrication in the EIH.

This is not a paid research position.
