EE - O'Sullivan Biomedical Photonics Lab

Our lab studies the interaction of light with biological tissue for biomedical research, diagnosis and treatment. Research projects are interdisciplinary and may involve computation, hardware and software design, or preclinical/clinical studies. There are two major research thrusts in our engineering lab: noninvasive light-based imaging using portable technologies and minimally invasive implantable wireless sensors. Applications are presently focused on breast cancer and neuroimaging.
