Museum of Biodiversity

Students will design their own research project using the Museum of Biodiversity collections or join existing initiatives within the museum. Previous students have conducted independent research using museum specimens, restored specimens for new exhibits, designed new public outreach efforts, created artwork centered around museum specimens to name just a few. There are endless opportunities for student-designed projects! Ongoing projects that students can join include databasing and digitizing the herbarium to make it more accessible to researchers and the public, restoring historic bird and mammal specimens, designing new exhibits, and increasing our engagement with the public through an online presence and student-led tours.
